Canned 01/30/26 GIMME A BREAD BOWL! into a Southern Grist dimpled mug.
Pours a dark brown with persistent tight white foam. Aroma is brown bread, toast, medium roast coffee, and a little molasses and honey. Flavor is very nutty with a lot of honey and low bitterness, rather sweet, and lots of hazelnut. There's some light roast coffee on the back end as well but it still finishes sweet and smooth, just lightly crisp. The rye comes through well, sort of a fruity spice that sits well with all the dark nuttiness. Feel is good, very smooth but also bright not not sticky. It's very low bodied and easy to drink for how dark it ends up being.
Overall, not what I was expecting. Definitely a lot more hazelnut forward than I thought and much sweeter, but still good. Better for a cold winter day.
