Dated 03/06/26 CHANT WCIPA, into a Xul becher pint.
Pours a clear gold with creamy white foam, strangely lager-ish. Aroma is cannabis and white grape funk all day, very diesel-esque and slightly bitter. Flavor is passionfruit and lime juice, shockingly smooth and refreshing. There's a good herbal snap to it that makes it feel less like an IPA and more like a lager/pale ale. I really enjoy the floral notes overall, and it's sort of sweet in a tea sort of way that's really great. I get a really crisp citrus finish as well and a hint of pils malt that I like a lot, but it's overall very clean and snappy like a pilsner. Overall very drinkable and exceptionally smooth, low body with good complexity as well.
Great WCIPA from Burial. It feels like they're one of the few breweries that recognize the need for very hoppy but still refreshing beer, and this one fits perfectly. It's crisp but flavorful and a fantasticly easy drinker.
