an easy drinking six pack of cans here, a new lager from these guys, at least new to me. its pretty basic stuff, not quite elemental, but there isnt a whole lot going on here to either love or hate, its just a beer. it has a little more body and grain depth than say a classic american yellow beer, and it does have a little bit of doughy and dusty european malt character, but its relatively clean, dry, and quick drinking still. i get very little from the hops, just a bitter flash at the end, and the lager yeast is also rather mellow, not quite flavorless, but its well behind the grain in terms of flavoring the beer. some minerals are present, there is a slight soapy thing going on, and a frothy sudsy body with nice carbonation pushing it along. its sort of earthy and rugged as the style goes, and i like that, but i wish the beer was just a little more polished, it seems a touch amateur to me still. drink this cold too, because it falls apart a little bit as it warms up, fortunately its an easy one to drink quickly. its been awhile since i have had any beer from these guys, and this one doesnt demonstrate that they have progressed much, but it worked well enough as a thoughtless summer slammer. i wouldnt drink this every day, as the name suggests, there are better options for that for sure...
