On draft, pours a bright cloudy pale yellow, looks like grapefruit juice. It has alot of head with good retention.
The smell is alot of citrus and funk, smells like it will be very tart, grapefruit, a little lemon zest, and just a touch of stomach acid. The flavor is actually well balanced, not too bitter or sour and much better than the nose, lots of lemon and grapefruit. The tart goes well with grapefruit citrus.
I thought this was pretty good, not mind blowing, but for Berliner's, I wouldn't say this is top-tier, nor bottom tier.

Poured on tap into a witbier tumbler at Churchkey DC.
Served with a creamy one finger bright white head, which dissolves pretty quickly. Tang orange looking body. Literally looks like tang in a glass, with barely and existing collar. There is some nice plentiful carbonation all over, very fine, and rising from all over it seems.
Ugh this aroma is really not pleasant. Bile and vomit tones, just not pleasant, with a hint of minimal orange and lemon tang sour quality. A bit of faint acrid grain maybe, but seems the yeast is going some other place right now.
Palate improves and feels like a giant leap forward from the nose. Good amount of lemon citrus with a nice malt dough mid palate flavor of white bread. Strangely powdery aftertaste though, and very dry feeling as my throat actually feels slightly parched on this. Much repeated sips bring more of the malt depth back into balance with a decent tart quality, but it fades quickly it seems and doesn't last.
Not really feeling this berliner and the aroma was just off putting for myself.
