Last Snow Coconut & Coffee Porter is an ode to that special time in Florida where the needle dips just south of 75 - even for the briefest of moments. This rich, creamy porter is layered with coconut and freshly-roasted coffee for a taste that recalls a winter wonderland - even if, in our state, that's just a state of mind.

Thanks goes out to colby600 for this brew.
22 oz. Bomber
My first from this brewery.
Poured into a goblet a pretty nice translucent dark brown color, pretty nice carbonation, with a pretty nice small tan head, which leaves some small islands and oil slicks, and some sticky lacing behind. The nose is pretty nice, malty, with a nice touch of chocolate/toffee, some coffee, vanilla, nice coconut. The taste is really nice, malty, with some chocolate/toffee, nice touch of coffee/coconut/vanilla. Medium body, ABV hidden very well. Overall, this one really surprised, very tasty. Glad to have gotten a chance to try it. Thanks Bill!

Pours a dark brown/black color with reddish highlights (and is pretty murky in a good way) with one finger of tan foam into a standard pint glass from a twelve ounce can. Aroma of coffee and coconut with flavors of coffee and some coconut with lively acidity. Excellent.

Poured from a can at a bit warmer than fridge temp (which seems perfect). Pours a nice black with a solid amount of light brown head. Gorgeous looking beer.
The nose is bursting with fantastic notes of fresh coffee. Wow. What a joy to smell. Some dark chocolate, mild coconut, roasted malts, and vanilla also come through.
The taste is silky smooth. Not as much coffee on the taste (compared to nose), but still significant. Milk chocolate, a touch of cinnamon, coconut, vanilla, dark roasted malts, slight molasses, graham cracker, and a touch of walnut.
Mouthfeel is creamy, and the aftertaste is chocolate and coffee. Wonderful porter. I see why the ratings are so high.

Sampling a 12 oz can at cellar temp and poured into my snifter. No date stamp on the can that I can see.
The beer pours a rich coffee brown color with no light passing through the glass. A creamy beige head foams up about 1 cm and slowly fades to a sturdy surface covering. Nice dense lattice on sips and swirls.
Aroma is some roast coffee, dark chocolate and a little coconut note. No hop character here and not really boozy anywhere. ONly 6.4% so that checks out.
First sip reveals a medium to lighter body with fine, prickly carbonation. Texture is very smooth.
Flavor is dark chocolate and some roasted malts and then a big hit of candied coconut. This coconut lingers after each sip as well. I enjoy coconut in beers and am often let down, this one doesnt disappoint.
There is no hop balance and again booze is absent. This is a tasty coconut porter that is sweeter on flavor and more roasted on the nose. Glad to have tried this one.

12oz can courtesy of @Ocalafox (much appreciated, my friend)
Poured into a Sunriver Brewing Belgian-style tulip
P pours a deep mahogany/near black w/ a 1-2f tan head; looks good
N med to med-bold nose of smooth vanilla, coconut, and cocoa; like a candy bar; nutty coffee character as it warms; notable
T sweet, so smooth, and satisfying; vanilla, coconut, smooth coffee, and praline, over light roast; just excellent
Mf silky smooth; med bodied w/ med to med- high carb (adds to fullness)
O an exceptional porter; loads of flavor for the relatively low abv and well-executed all the way around; so thankful for the opportunity to try it!

12 oz. can, 6.4% ABV, Best by: FEB 2023
AROMA: First hit with strong scent of coconut and then wisps of chocolate and coffee followed. The coconut aroma overpowers just about everything else, and is a little odd as it does not smell like fresh coconut. Instead, it smells more like coconut oil. Which I find to be a little off-putting because it reminds me more of suntan lotion than something to ingest.
APPEARANCE: It pours an opaque black with a tall, dark-tan, foamy head that dissipates slowly with excellent lacing. This is one delicious looking beer!!
TASTE: Initially it is moderately sweet with flavors of coffee and chocolate hitting first, followed by the coconut. On the back end, the bitterness of the coffee starts to come through and then there is more coconut sweetness that fades away ever so slowly. The flavors of coconut, chocolate, and coffee are much more evenly balanced than their aromas would hint at.
MOUTHFEEL: Full-bodied with a smooth and creamy texture, and average carbonation. This is a luxurious feeling beer!
OVERALL: Other than my slight dislike of the coconut aroma, I can find little fault with this beer. It has a heavenly body, nice flavor, and looks fantastic in a clear glass!

Rich and full bodies, with intense coffee and chocolate notes. Hard to resist the temptation to guzzle. It should be sipped to really be appreciated. At 251 calories per 12 ounces, it’s not a lightweight. It is outstanding

Poured a black body with minimal khaki head that quickly died. Mild coffee aroma underneath strong coconut aroma like a coconut liquer. Smooth, slightly creamy, has touches of something like dark fruits like figs and prunes that mix with a coconut booziness (which is odd since beer is only 6.4) and a coffee dryness on finish. Is a tad muddled so not great but still pretty good (the “damning with faint praise” take).

Smell - caramel coffee coconut and chocolate along with roasted malts
Taste - dialed back from the smell but with added vanilla
Feel - medium body with a medium light carb
Overall - delicious

Whadda ya mean you can’t taste the corn syrup based flavorings? It’s all there is here! What a mess. Blurring the lines between craft wizardry and.,. cheating.,. Funky Buddha has officially Sold Out to tricking us into believing they’re actually ‘doing the time’. The brewers should be doing time.,.

Love the hard coconut smell, then hits you when you drink it, with a toasty and slight smokey finish. Went straight to the store and bought another 6 pack before it ran out. Will always look forward to this beer coming out in the season.
