From tap to taster at The Funky Buddha Lounge on 6/2/12

A: Chill haze lemony yellow. A decent head and white collar with average lacing follow.
S: Freshly baked southern style biscuits that've been glazed with lemon butter reduction.
T: Similar to their Hefe, but a bit more tart and acidic. I get some citrus, with hints of bitter lime juice and dried sage.
M: Yet again the feel is killer. This is really well carbonated and light bodied. Quite pleasant.
O: A decent Saison that, from what I was told at the bar, was their first stab at the style. The edges are a bitg rough here and there, yet with some minor tweaking, this could be a solid year-round or rotating offering.

Cloudy golden pour into a pint glass. Small creamy white head with lackluster retention. Slight lace spots stick around down the glass.
Saison yeast is big. Notes of coriander, lemon zest, floral and other fruit hints, some bread as well.
Has a distinct herbal flowery almost perfume note atop the lemon citrus, coriander, pepper, spice, raisin and bread notes. Fruity grapefruit and orange adds a nice element.
Highly carbonated but the bubbles are silky smooth. Creamy texture and a clean bitterness as well as tiny tart finish.
Flavors are big and it all balances out to produce a Saison with a nice overall flavor.
