Pours a cloudy, somewhat whitewashed, pale yellow in color with a tiny white head. Nose is juicy citrus. Taste left quite a bit to be desired. Taste was citrus, but nothing outstanding. Decent amount of bitterness across the palate.

Appearance: Pours somewhat cloudy with a one finger head perched atop the light amber liquid; good retention and shards of lacing
Smell: Dank and hoppy with resinous pine tones mixed in with tropical fruit
Taste: Papaya and pineapple forward with the dank, piney tones taking over, in the middle; brazen and resinous, after the swallow, with solid bitterness
Mouthfeel: Medium to full body with crisp, moderate carbonation
Overall: Waves from the west coast join with some NE elements in this fine IPA

16oz can into a Tulip, reviewed from notes.
Look: Pours an opaque golden-orange with a foamy white head that has great retention, leaving sheets of soapy lace down the side of the glass.
Smell: Tangerine/Mandarin/Orange, grapefruit, over-ripe melon and lighter notes of pineapple.
Taste: Follows the nose, a big punch of citrus and super-ripe tropicals, with an excellent earthy finish for balance.
Feel: Super soft medium body, persistent carbonation of tiny bubbles, dry/sticky/resinous finish.
Overall: Fantastic balance of big fruit flavors and an earthy dryness, amazingly soft mouthfeel. My new favorite beer from rar.

T: Juicy, citrus fruit, moderate citrus pith and peel bitterness, light caramel malt sweetness, a bit tropical.
F: Soft medium weight body, almost pilowy, medium-high carbonation, short crisp finish.
O: Well done! Very tasty and drinkable.

From an undated 16oz can but I believe this was released sometime in the Spring of 2019. From the brewery’s website: ““HYDE” W/ MANDARINA. 6.6% ABV AND WHERE WE WANT TO BE WITH OUR PALES. ON THE NOSE TONS OF PEACH NOTES, TANGERINES, AND GRAPEFRUIT RIND. THE TASTE GIVES YOU CREAMY TANGERINES, ORANGE SLICES, HINTS OF VANILLA, PEACHES, AND TROPICAL FRUITS ALL ON TOP OF A FLUFFY SMOOTH ADJUNCT HEAVY BASE PROFILE. THIS COULD BE OUR BEST HYDE OFFERING TO DATE.” Very tasty IPA.
