750 mL bottle. Pours with a hazy orange body with a huge white head. Smells of earthy yeast, bubblegum, floral hops, and a hint of butter. Strangely, the butter doesn’t seem offensive in this setting. Tastes just a little of butter too, but again, so far, I’m not offended. Bubble gum yeast, herbal hops, a bit of citrus, and a spicy and earthy bitter back end. Medium body with medium high carbonation. Not sure about the butter. After a while, it became intrusive and unpleasant. Oh well.

Man I loved this one.
Elegance and grace of a saison with an American twist of the dry hopping.
Stone fruit tastes, bright almost effervescent carbonation. Had my first this summer and saved this one. Fantastic.

definitely a more pronounced hop profile to this than the regular saison has, more dramatic, more new school for sure, with some tropical fruit and juicy qualities, but its almost all in the nose, obviously a dry hopping right? thats what the name says, so makes sense. more than this really being anything super profound or different though, what this beer reminds me is how amazing the saison is, and how great this brewery is in general. such a pretty beer too, hazy but radiant dark golden colored liquid with a tall white head on it two inches high and lasting. the flavor is rustic from the grain, simple on the yeast side of things, perfectly dry, and quite bitter too, maybe a little more bitter than i remember others being, but not overly so, and it makes sense in the end. it has a creamy rich feel to it, but is so dry and well carbonated that its also really easy drinking, but i slow myself down because i dont want it to be gone. i wish the bottles were a little less expensive, but i never mind paying top dollar for top quality, and these guys are certainly making some of the best quality saisons in the country right now. cant say enough good things about what they are up to! this is subtle on the new world hops, but its a nice wrinkle for sure.

A: hazy to muddy orange, prominent, soapy, 2 finger head
S: sharp, peppery and with an estery character. Lemon as well. A touch of wheaty tartness.
T: there's an immediate though not unpleasant astringent sharpness to the beer. Grassy note comes through first, accompanied by its companion bitterness, (definitely present but not overwhelming), some lemon comes through.
M: one of the first beers I've ever had that I would describe as unpleasantly dry. (not a complement to what is going on here)
O: It's okay, it's not great, it's a very underwhelming offering from one of my favorite american breweries and for my money one of the few breweries in the states that still produces what I'd call a saison in the spirit of dupont. It's aright, it's not great and it's not up to par for them. It's peppery and dry, so...there

Bottle. Poured out a clear, golden amber color with a small, off-white head of foam. It smelled of caramel, spices, grains and yeast. Sweet caramel with spices and a yeasty kick.

One of the first beers by them I have not truly enjoyed. It was a decent offering, but the hops didn't work in concert with the base beer as much to me.
A lot of bubbles consume the glass on a mildly aggressive pour (and almost as much do on a milder pour). medium hazy golden in color beneath the volume of fluff.
Nose is nice, there's a balance of generic bitterness, fruit, and barn house notes. A little plantain, pear, peach combines with live green grass and hay in the loft.
Taste is a little more of the pitted fruit variety early - peach and apricot, combined with a classic saison base - medium dry and lightly woody, medium light. The bitterness adds a light tartness before allowing their bitterness to take over. The end doesn't finish as clean as I'd like, and there is a lingering light film of bitter greeness that I didn't enjoy as much as others may,
