Amphitrite Saison

this is supposed to be a Mediterranean spiced saison, i dont really get that at all here. to me, its a hit of curry and sweaty armpit, like someone who has been working in an indian restaurant in the heat, just loaded with body odor and oily sweat, its downright stinky in smell, i cant get past it, its just smelling like a gym locker room, or football practice, or something not appealing at all in a beer. the flavor is somewhat better than the smell, but really this is pretty yucky, with more of a curry flavor than a sweaty flavor, but the weird body part is still there and the saison yeast does very little for this complex. i just dont get it, not even sure what spices they were trying to use, but the base saison doesnt even seem all that remarkable. shocking for a brewery who really blew me away at the beer camp festival, this was a total letdown of a beer, promising in name and description only, its a total miss. as unappealing as any craft beer ive come across, at least in smell. did anyone like this?
