Behold, our very first wheat wine! It’s similar to your barleywine or strong ale, but features a heftier portion of wheat in the grain bill, which in this case is Maris Otter and White and Flaked Wheats. This delightful beverage was aged first in medium-toast oak foeders, then in bourbon barrels for a jaw-dropping 14 months. The result is the pinnacle of luxurious drinking; smooth and biscuity from the wheat, with a nice volley between caramel and toffee notes and rich, oaky complexity. If you’re looking to level-up your beer game, this would be a fabulous place to start.

North Park serving. It's very sugary sweet.A sipper. Tap at the source. Maple syrup? It's all part of the style.Right time of year for these high abv's.

22 oz bomber into a snifter
Dark brown syrupy beverage, small amount of carbonation. Nose is sticky sugar, butter rum-like with plenty of oak. Grainy on the palate, definitely ‘wheaty’, with a sludgy, syrupy finish. I would’ve guessed the ABV was way higher than 13.5% as well.
I’m not a huge fan of wheatwines in general, so trying to grade on a curve, but this is just too one-dimensional. Would work as a base brew for a blend.

Bomber at share. Clear amber pour, a few bubbles. Malty aroma, sweet, light boozy notes. Taste is sweet, brown sugar, malty with a warm boozy presence. Smooth.
