Taster at brewery, 2018 road trip. Very pale golden pour, light head. Solid, tasty lager, refreshing. Only knock is a weak aroma. Lime slice unnecessary.

a drinkable and quenching mexican lager here, cool beer to see on the menu at a place like this, these lagers arent the easiest or most expedient to make, so its always a treat to get to drink in the smaller breweries. this is pretty well executed, clear and bright in the glass, radiant yellow, with a nose of light lime, dry cereal grains, and the classic mexican lager yeast fruitiness that i love to much this time of year. there is good balance to this, and the grain and yeast work super well together, this is a basic recipe, tried and true, but the execution is pretty solid. i like the flavor of the yeast a lot here, and the little bit of lime character that emerges works well too. this could be a little drier and more crisp than it is, it doesnt quite have that finishing briskness to it, but the flavor is nice and it sure seems summery to me. this isnt the best one of these out there, not even close, but based on whats available in this part of the state, its a welcome offering and a real cool thing to be able to locally source here. light and poundable, well balanced.

On tap at the brewery in Pocatello, Idaho.
This Mexican style lager arrived with a lime which I promptly removed but which will distort my evaluation.
Pale and slightly hazy golden body.
Lime and bread in the aroma with suggestions of citrus.
Flavor follows but has light, spicy hops too. Typical strength and bitterness for style.

A "Mexican" lager that pours light gold from the tap, with a decent white head; quick cap leaves minimal ring of lace; excellent clarity. Light malt nose, no DMS. Lite malt and slight floral hop flavor. Medium lite crisp mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. A good tasting lager, "Mexican" or otherwise...
