Taking the tastebuds to the land down under, Blue Stallion brewers fully employ the use of Riwaka hops to fuel a new pilsner flavor that drags the pale lager into the modern beer age.
Barliman's Best hits the glass with a bright, light golden pour, teeming with carbonation and building a creamy swath of foam. Aromas tease of citrus, tropical fruit and berry while a backdrop of fresh bread grounds the scent. Scantly sweet, a dry malt flavor is light in profile and crisp with fresh breadiness that all precedes gentle fruitiness of orange peel, kiwi, apple and a hint of lemon. Balanced with a hop profile of lemongrass and peppery herb, the lager finishes with green tea and verbena.
Light, crisp and refreshing, the Riwaka hops give the beer a hoppy character that appeases the hop heads, but light enough to give lager lovers a simply beer-flavored beer.
