A Belgian style saison for the cooler months of the year; it has the fruity, spicy notes typical of summer saisons, along with the bone dry finish. Unlike the usual saison however, the color is a deep brown and finishes with a touch of chocolate from the darker malts used.

Had this as part of a flight at Crank Arm Brewing's taproom.
L: dark brown, medium tan head
S: chocolate, malt
T: dark malt, chocolate, hint of roasted coffee, light notes of fruit & spice
F: medium/heavy body, medium carbonation, on the smooth side
Overall I enjoyed it, but probably wouldn't drink it often. It was pretty different than other saisons I've had.
