16 oz. can. Pours black with no head. Smells of intense roasted malt. Tastes intensely toasty. Vanilla, a little bourbon, dark chocolate, spicy rye and oak. Heavy, but not sweet. Low barrel character, but it's an aggressive stout profile and it's delicious.

Dark brown/black appearance with little to no beige head, no lacing. Fudge, vanilla, whiskey, roasty malt notes. Medium to thick body, light carbonation. Delicious.

Canned 07.16.20. An important global collaborative effort participated in by my favorite brewery in the country.
Black, viscous pour. Essentially zero rising head or carbonation, and settles flat into its Side Project snifter.
The nose hits hard with potent rye barrel and vanilla. Rich, fudgy, and decadent; balanced and inviting.
Full & boozy on the palate. Huge barrel presence, with that spiced whiskey complimenting notes of baker’s chocolate and a balanced malt base. Would have liked some of that huge vanilla on the nose to translate to the palate, but for a fan of barrel-aged stouts this is phenomenal.
Full-bodied and chewy. A touch higher carbonation than what you might expect from a Side Project / Shared BA Stout, but it’s not at all distracting, especially being that only 50% of the base recipe is Barrel-aged Stout.

poured from a 16oz can into a snifter. pours inky black with a few bubbles here and there. aromas of chocolate brownies with a touch of roast and earthy vanilla. taste is similar with the barrel playing a minimum role here. it adds a nice touch but overall it’s reminiscent of Base Weight with cocoa nibs & vanilla beans with twice the alcohol and three times the mouthfeel. it’s solid, but to me the Shared bar is so high with the Vibes series that something here seems to be missing. still well above average.
