I have to admit that there is something about Brettanomyces that appeals to my taste buds. This particular brew was a pleasure to drink. It smells fantastic. I have to remember to swirl it a bit once I'm near the bottle to catch the sediment.

Corked and caged 375mL bottle acquired at the brewery. Released 6/24/17. Served in a Three Taverns snifter. Enjoyed 9/7/17.
Pours a soft gold with two and a half fingers of fluffy white head. A thin bubbly surface haze remains after the froth dies down, with a full halo that imparts some huge webs of lacing.
Aromas of assertive Brett, wet wood, vinous wine, hay and a little vague spice.
Brett meets red wine barrel funk in the burst of flavors. Apple skin, Brettanomyces, red wine, wet wood, barrel funk, old hay and some farmy earth. Plenty of layers to make this quite enjoyable for me.
Moderate body with mild carbonation. Dry finish with red wine, Brett and funky pale grain.
I'm not much into saisons but this has enough Brett & red wine character to keep me interested. Great work from Three Taverns. It’s nice to enjoy the fruits of their budding barrel and wild progams.
