Wilfred at wakefest was great. Everything you love about imperial german chocolate cupcake but with a sweet and syrupy maple flavor. This is a great pastry stout that is thick and full of flavor. One of the standouts of the non wakefield beers.

Ah, finally. This is one of those ones I really wanted to try, so it was my second stop at Super Rad. Unfortunately, this was after Cognac UT, so I was riding one hell of a flavor high.
That said, this is basically supposed to be maple Imperial German Chocolate Cupcake, but really, to me comes across as just a sticky maple stout. It's a maple overload that's sugary sweet, and lightly smoky, totally taking over any aspect of the underlying coconuty chocolate cake flavors that I know were very, very present in the base prior to the maple addition.
I imagine it's not all that far off from Woke, but I've not had them side by side. It's still enjoyable, but come into it expecting a fairly cloying maple takeover.

On tap at CBC 2016 - day 2. Pitch black, full bodied. Cupcake aroma, with notes of maple syrup, cocoa, chocolate. A bit too sweet, but otherwise great.
