doctor cougar is a petite saison done with just enough wild yeast to be awesome yet still real approachable for those unaccustomed to wild ale. new to bottles for odd13, i think it is a great success, and a timely release with the warmer weather here now. pale blonde beer, very low in body evidently, and without a ton of head, but i admittedly was drinking a low fill, and could reasonably expect the carbonation situation to improve with a different bottle that actually makes it to a retail shelf. thanks to one of the creators of this one for sharing it with me, a real treat to get the scoop on it from the man himself. thank you. its as much saison yeast as it is brett, really soft in feel, all day drinking type of beer, simple on the grain front and very light, but distinct from almost anything else on the market too, which i really appreciate. if it had more bubbles, which i have every reason to think it will, its lights out. light lemon flavors toward the finish, and a light grassy style czech-like hop profile after the swallow. fun beer, different enough, clever, and well executed. my first from odd13 a smash hit i think. this should sell real well.
