12oz can. Poured out a clear, dark reddish, purple color with a small, pink head of bubbly foam. It left very little lacing. It smelled of boysenberry, blackberries and sweet jam. Sweet berry taste with some tartness. Medium bodied beer with a smooth finish.

Dark mauve and resting underneath a loose and lofty froth, Jam Lord blossoms onto the nose with a tantalizing scent of dark berries, tangy citrus, red wine and cream candy just ahead of a juicy taste of berry juice concentrate, cream soda and an overall berry cobbler sensation in a sweet and sour initial sip.

As the ale opens up on the middle palate, the robust flavor of those dark berries release a juicy, jammy and jelly like condensed fruitiness. Not to be outdone, the natural sourness of the ale brings its own lemon, lime, gooseberry, green apple, and red wine acidity. The tartness cuts the jammy sweetness and wraps up the taste with brisk hint of brine in finihs.

Medium full in body, the beer's robust fruits sell a fuller texture as well as they do taste. But the sourness brings the ale back down to a level of refreshment without sacrificing flavor intensity. A sweet and sour finish lingers only by the unapologetic additions of fruit and its creamy vanilla support.
