Repentance, part of the Wild & Wood series, had a limited May 2018 draft-only release at the SoPro Taproom for Southern Prohibition’s 5th Anniversary Party, and a subsequent limited release in 16.9-oz. bottles after bottle conditioning. Had on the initial limited draft-only release at Southern Prohibition’s 5th Anniversary Party on draft into tulip, and had again recently poured from 16.9-oz. bottle into tulip.

In appearance, Repentance is classic gold with a creamy, near-white, adequate head. The aroma is tart and sweet fruit, saison yeast spices and mild malt as it warms. On draft at release, this beer was very complex, tart, fruity and sweet, finishing dry. After two years in the bottle, some of the subtler fruit and saison flavors have diminished, but the tartness, still mild, is on the rise, the mild malt is more perceptible, and the finish is still very dry.
