It’s been awhile since we made a Belgian beer sooo here we go! Sky Patrol is a lightly dry hopped Belgian crusher (5.3%abv) made with European Pilsner malt, wheat, spelt, and a pinch of Vienna. Kissed with a light dry hopping blend of Motueka, Pacific Sunrise, and Nelson Sauvin then fermented dry this provisional ale is a perfect crisp summertime ale.

Sky Patrol was a small-batch, SoPro Taproom-only release on in July 2021 on draft and in 4-pks. 16-oz. cans. Had at the taproom on draft into 4-oz. taster tulip, and also poured from pint can, bottom stamped (apparently) canned on "07/13/21," into Teku tulip.
Pours hazy light-gold, but with some depth of color, and a 1/2-finger near-white head, which dissipates to a persistent film and leaves nice sketchy rings lace down the glass. Aroma beginning from the pour of mild but definite dry-hopping resin, soon joined by sweet melon, and then continuing nice saison spice. Begins sharply dry, and then a hint of malt, before some saison spice arrives, and leads into a bitter citrus rind finish.
Very nice "rustic" farmhouse ale, with the dry-hopping well-calibrated to complement rather than overwhelm its provisional purpose. More refreshing than Hattiesburg, Jackson or Flint water, anyway.
