Slow Pour Lager was a SoPro Taproom-only release, as the taproom's new regular house lager, on a side-pull tap, when the taproom reopened on May 6, 2022, after the kitchen addition and taproom upgrade. Had Slow Pour Lager at the taproom on side-pull draft into seidel with an 18-oz. fill line and room above that for the massively beautiful head.
Pours straw-gold with 2-finger creamy near-white head, with excellent retention, leaving a nice coating of lace down the glass. Excellent aroma of pseudo-Noble hop spice off pour, and then a little mild pilsner malt joins. Begins sweet and creamy pilsner malt, with a little carbonation carrying, then deeper malt flavor, before moderate Noble hop bite sets in for a crisp finish.
Eighteen ounces of slow pour American Lager in the Czech pilsner tradition.
