Austin Beer Garden Brewing Co. "Road Trip Saison"
on tap at the brewery 4 November 2015, $5 for 12 oz.
Appearance: Clear gold with an orange cast. Creamy bright white head. Very good head retention and lacing.
Aroma: Fruity (apple, apricot, orange/tang), mineralish/chalky, subtly phenolic/clove, spice.
Flavor: Malt dominates, backed by fruit and spice. Really well-balanced with a very firm bitterness at 33 IBUs, and along with the spiciness it finishes dry with just a touch of lingering mineral character.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light in body and gently effervescent with a very fine-bubbled, seemingly natural carbonation.
Overall: Thumbs up!
