2022 version. Tall can w/o freshness or canning date info.
Pour with a light haze and a soft reddish hue. All under an initially large cap that goes to a thick messy film and this one leaves all sort of sheeting and scattered lacing on the glass.
Fruity and complex sniff with notes of stone fruits, herbal and twiggy tea, perfume and assorted spices.
On the palate and in the mouth its again herbal, fruity, and complex. Some lime, some lemon, mint, cranberries, tart cherry, earthy and somehow floral as well all in the same sip. A moderate touch of some Brett originated sour/tart characteristics.
Well worth seeking out this delicious and enticing offering.

Instead of today's mucky March day, I would have preferred to have drank Joyeux 21 around the Holidays as it is festive; not heavy as most holiday brews are. The cranberries and orange and the very balanced Brett are refreshing and work to unwind heavy holiday food. Joyeux 21 is worth having again. But, the best I can hope to find is '22. In that version, repeat the lively yeast along with its decent head. Holiday spices can be changed up each year, wassail-like.
My 15th from Une Anne', I've micro-reviewed them enough. Now, I need to visit soon.
3/16/23 From Une Annee's gastropub (actually my second visit there), I just bought Joyeux 2022 and had the first of the 4-pack on another mucky March day a year later. I read the review above and really can't make many changes as 2022 seems to me to be the same recipe as 2021; so no need to add a new beer. I find Joyeux a delicate use of Brett, almost like a wassail-brett should taste. I will save one for December 2023 to compare.
1/24/24 Had my first copy of 2023 release and it is very similar. Drank side-by-side with my last copy of 2022, both had the right amount of tart to make lunch interesting. 2022 has more citrus and is amber, 2023 is pale. Untappd has different vintages, but I concur this is fine for BA to have one entry.
