Poured from a twelve ounce can, the body is dark brown with a tan, foamy head. Good lacing.
Aroma is mild barrel with light cinnamon and vanilla: just the right amount of cinnamon, which can be off-putting to my palate.
Taste follows nose there's a little bit more cinnamon here than an aroma. The barrel asserts itself to a certain degree but is not overly hot. Nice background flavors of malty char, unsweetened chocolate, vanilla and a trace of bitter hops. An enjoyable mix.
Mouthfeel is good, mid-weight body that's soft with good enough carbonation. Things dry up nicely at finish with a light bourbon fade.

It's a solid BA imperial stout. The presence of the vanilla and cinnamon is solid, but not overdone. Lesser stouts would have made these flavors too forward. They're well-balanced here.
I like it, however for my taste the bourbon flavor is a bit too strong, and I would have liked some more carbonation. Feel is also a bit thin compared to a truly great imperial for me. I wish it were a bit more creamy. I like it, but don't love it. Aftertaste is strong bourbon and a return of the cinnamon, leaving the tongue feeling a little too dry.
Again, don't get me wrong I like this beer, but a 96 world-class ranking is high. Should be maybe a 90 IMO. It's definitely worth a try, pick one up if you can. It may be more up your alley than mine.
Will I buy it again? Maybe, but I've had better stouts for less money.

Stunning pour. Beautiful thick, rich brown head, about two inches tall. Stayed for quite some time.
Nose is interesting. Definitely smell some added not typical beer notes.
Not really a great taste. Label says cinnamon and vanilla aged, but neither was strong enough to impress. Instead, some weird blend of the two?
Not bad, but would not want to have again.

2022 Version. Drank 11/23/2023.
Pour is a jet black with a small cinnamon colored head that fades to the slightest ring around the glass.
Nose is notes of cinnamon and vanilla equally present and wonderfully intermingled, over a hint of bourbon.
Taste follows. Upfront is cinnamon, which lingers throughout the experience. Vanilla follows quickly, and then the beer finishes with a subtle -but definitely there - soft, oaky, vanilla bourbon character, layered over dark chocolate; I'm thinking, not so sweet, fudgy brownies.
Smooth, creamy, chewy body without being overly thick or sweet.
Overall this is an excellent beer.

22oz bottle labeled 2021 poured into a Spiegelau stout glass at fridge temp 12% ABV per label. The beer pours dense black with no light penetration and medium brown colored head. Spotty lacing. The head recedes to a thin cap. The aroma is moderate in strength featuring bourbon and fudge. The taste is bittersweet roasted malt with bourbon, charred oak and fudge up front followed by vanilla and mild cinnamon. Mild bitterness. The mouthfeel is medium plus bodied with just less that average carbonation and a semi dry finish. Minimal heat for the ABV. Overall, excellent.

Didn’t find a date, drank a little below room temp in a stemless wine glass
L: jet black, a very small dark khaki head.
S: Bourbon barrels, chocolate, coffee, a hint of vanilla and cinnamon. Reminds me of Christmas, no bells and whistles just simple yet elegant.
T: follows nose. Can get cloying after a while but in small amounts this would make a great toast for a smaller group around Christmas time. The cinnamon really makes the other flavors pop. It’s honestly a good beer for the style that other beers shoulda be compared against.
F: oily and almost sludgy like a good barrel aged stout should be. Lacking a little in carbonation but can’t complain. Very silky, I’ve been drinking a lot of IPAs lately so my feel for stout is off a little but I bet once the weather cools off a little it’ll be a winner.
O: will save a couple bombers for Christmas time and maybe even Halloween.

22oz bottle. 2021 Edition. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, light brown head of foam. It left sticky rings of lace on the glass. It smelled of chocolate, coffee, roasted malt and cinnamon. Strong cinnamon taste with hints of vanilla, coffee and chocolate.

Dull matte black with a moderate tan head settling to a lumpy, thick blanket.
The heavy hand of cinnamon almost makes this comes off like a pepper stout, but that's smoothed by a luscious chocolate in the middle before a little heat comes back out on the exhale. A nutty roast emerges upon subsequent sips.
The light body has a sort of powdery carbonation and finishes cotton dry.
