Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug. No date on the can.
Appearance: pale straw hue with a crystal-clear body and a finger of frothy white foam atop.
Smell: sweetish malt with a bit of yeast and a kind of cidery note. The cidery note is definitely an off-aroma here; it’s not terrible but it’s not ideal.
Taste: malt comes across as a bit sweeter than the aroma; the cidery element is definitely here as well. That being said, it kinda works in the flavor more so than in the aroma. Not sure if that really commends the beer, but it’s not a drain pour or anything.
Mouthfeel: medium-light body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: the cideriness is going to be a dealbreaker for some people. It’s definitely an off-flavor for the style. That being said, it’s not actually *bad*. So, I suppose your mileage may vary on this one.
