Reviewed from notes. This was poured into a nonic pint glass. The appearance was a dark brown close to black color with subtle dark red hues aligning the sides of the glass. Flimsy white foamy head escapes and lets in some clingy lace. The aroma had a mix of dark and milk chocolate malts flowing over a soft wheaty sweet tone rolling over some grassy hops. The flavor had a good sturdy sweetness of the chocolate and the wheat coming together and sliding into the aftertaste and on into the finish. Subtle roastiness in the finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body, almost closer to the medium side to be honest. Carbonation felt good and so was the ABV. Overall, good American dark wheat ale worthy of having again.
