Brewed for the Denver Heavy Metal Society, this light-bodied, easy-drinking beer represents the diverse "flavors" of the local music scene. An off-orange color with fruit and pepper nuances, this beer invites your senses to sit up and listen.

slightly generic saison here from black sky. very light in color but not so much in body or flavor, this is a bit of a sleeper. i get lots of honey and clover-like aromatics on the front end, and a decent hopping as well, but the dominant aroma and flavor is the classic french saison yeast strain. its a little peppery indeed, but more wine-like almost in its esters, a product of this familiar yeast. i get some sweet wheat malt too, and just a hint of tropical fruit before it finishes hoppier than so many saisons. the flavors work well together, and i like the fuller body on this style once in awhile. sessionable and interesting, i think black sky has a pretty solid product in this one.
