While BA has retired a similar named saison, the recipe has changed. ABV now is 5.5, the Nelson Sauvin and other hops weigh in at only 20 IBU and, most important, this Zero Gravity is delicious and quenching on a hot day.
All in all, this is a successful remake or what the previous ratings indicate was an unsuccessful saison.
And for learning and improving the craft, I heap praise.
My rendition comes from Beer Drop in a 32 ounce can filled a week ago. I opened it as prelude to a dinner party, but really don't want to keep it all for myself.
I'm not finding anything that I do not like about this grisette. As they were designed, this grisette certainly would slack the thirst of miners in the Belgian region of the Ardennes and leave them smiling enough to return to work the next day.
Zero Gravity Looks appetizing, active with a healthy foam. Smells are a tropical fruit medley; but I'm picking up the white-winey Nelson Sauvin. Tastes are integrated; refreshing from beginning to end. Bubbly enough in the mouth to cleanse the palate. I'm saving some for dinner... but only because I'm the host and I bet this is a champion pairing with pizza.
I very much like Denver's brew scene and Jagged Mountain is down in the thick of it near the stadium and Union Station. For a seven year old, I was expecting a bit more developed website. But when you can satisfy by flashing a few pics of mountain paradise, you can focus on your brewing... which Jagged Mountain seems to do well enough to survive amidst a few giants.
