12oz can, wine glass, no packaging or freshness date. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?! How are breweries not adding a date to all beers directly on the can or bottle at this point?

The color is golden rod with maybe a hint of red. There’s very little head and you’d be hard pressed to guess the style correctly based on appearance alone.

The aroma is sweet like strawberry preserves and sweet tarts.

Medium sweet with some soft wheat and gummy or sour candy. There’s a little bubblegum, which is the only piece of Hefeweizen that’s pulled through.

Light bodied with medium-low carbonation.

This is a passable strawberry beer, but not much of a Hefeweizen.

From the can, it pours a reddish amber color with a nice, modest, lasting head. In the nose, a bit of funk with some banana. In the mouth, a bit of funk and a funky aftertaste. Canned 4-01-21

2022 update: Definite scent of strawberry.

Pours a dark strawberry-blonde body, like a traditional hefe with a reddish tint. Lots of yeasty banana on the nose with hints of strawberry, like a strawberry banana milkshake. yet, there is an utter lack of strawberry anywhere in the taste as the banana almost entirely dominates. Perhaps a bit of a strawberry bitterness in the middle of the palate, but very faint if at all present. This is just a slightly sweeter hefe, entirely banana with essentially no strawberry. Not bad, but not what i expected when promised a "strawberry hefeweizen"

16 oz. can poured into a weizen glass.
Canned 5/30/2019

Pours golden orange in color and almost opaque in clarity, like a hefeweizen but the head is rather weak with no lace. The nose has the wheat and fruity esters you would expect from a hefe but there is an overwhelming polyethylene plastic aroma which, to me, seems off. As far as fruit notes are concerned, I only get banana, not the advertised strawberry or any other berry. The flavor closely models the nose and is dominated by the the same plastic character. Carbonation and weight are medium and it's a bit gritty.

To me, not great, hefe-like but dominated by polyethylene-like aroma and flavor.

From the bottom of the can: "CANNED ON 05302019 0902 L3"

Appearance: The body of the beer is a mostly opaque orange-gold with some very fuzzy shadows. the head is medium-large, fluffy, a bit pock-marked and rocky, with good head retention and some layers and spots of lacing.

Aroma: The beer has a clear cream of wheat aroma with some banana chips and a hint of raspberry.

Taste: Up front there is some light clove flavor, a bit of wheat, some banana skin, and a bubblegum flavor at the end. After a while the beer started to pick up a bit of a plastic or phenolic flavor.

Mouthfeel: The body is thick and chewy but resides in the medium-light range. Average carbonation.

Overall: This beer is a bit of a whiff. It calls itself a "STRAWBERRY HEFEWEIZEN" (as indicated by the paper label on the can) but it doesn't taste like strawberries at all. To any strawberry lover, I would recommend passing on this beer because it lacks berry flavor. Any strawberry enthusiast would know that it is difficult to represent that character in a beer, but it is either done right or it is done wrong. In this case it isn't done at all. There is a bit of a raspberry aroma but it isn't enough to carry the beer. To the hardcore Hefeweizen fanatic, this beer will only be as enjoyable as long as the phenolic character remains in the background.
