Doing all 4s because I don't want to write a thesis just want to keep track of what I'm drinking.

On tap at Grimm Artisanal Ales, NYC.
Pours a hazy golden color. A large foamy Belgian style head displays excellent retention. There are rings of powdery lacing that adorn the glass. Good looking brew.
Aroma opens with light funk, melon and grass. Fruity notes of peach lime like acidity and notes of peppery spices.
The taste evokes a wonderful combination of Saison and Sour; of which this beer is a blend of these two styles. Tart with flavors of lime, fruity with notes of peach, citrus and melon. Peppery and dry.
Light and ethereal and supremely drinkable. The finish is dry and the carbonation is on par.
Sublime and delightful. Masterfully crafted.

this is beautiful beer, my favorite that i had at grimm, even though all of the beer in here was excellent. this is just artistry at work, a blended saison with a golden sour, so alive in the glass, the bottle conditioning brought it a lot of carbonation activity, and it really holds its puffy white head well. so pretty in the glass, pale colored and simple looking, elegant even. the aroma is lightly tart with white wine character behind it, a bit of fresh lemon and lime to me, and a subtle floral thing too, elderflower or something, nice with the fresh oak this seems to have on it. some green apple tartness in the flavor, soft botanicals, pils malt, and white wheat. cerealy and dry, earthy, and clean. a nice bretty funkiness exists here too, subtle but wild, unique to me, and still expanding on the palate with each sip as it warms up. a great mix of lightly sour and gently funky here, young and mature to me at the same time. light citrus and cut flowers from whatever hops are here, and the warmth of the oak winds it down slowly, dry as it is. highly charged in mouthfeel and fluffy on the body, complex and old worldy, expertly refined, and one of the more memorable beers from our trip to the city. the first wine bottle size i have seen from these guys, apparently its a couple of years old now, at least thatrs what the gal behind the bar tells me. amazing stuff.

Not avhuge saison guy, but easily one of best I have tried. Admittedly, don’t like most I have tried in limited taste tests, but this one is superior even to the other Grimm saisons I have tried. Knee again, way to crush it, Grimm.
