Pours a hazed gold with 2 fingers of pearl colored head. Above average head retention and lacing
S: Lemongrass, apricots, and orange. Great nose
T: Follows the nose, along with peaches, mangoes and dryness and tangerine up front. A little sour orange juice, powdery dryness, green melon, and tangerine as this warms. Finishes with tart and sour Orange, plus lime and plenty of dryness
MF; Medium body with slight carbonation. Decent balance
Drinks pretty easy. Decent take on the style

From a growler
Hazy, light yellow, with a slight orangey tinge, with light white head.
Smell is .. oh! ... dried strawberry , just as mentioned in the brewery description. :) Plus fresh pineapple, Blue Passionfruit Flower (P.caerulea), guava, freshly-cut-open butternut squash, candied tangerine - similar to an (orange) jelly bean referenced , but fresher - , and a slight bit of fresh-out of -the oven white bread.
Taste is initially , and mostly (unsweetened) coconut + tangerine. There are also hints of grapefruit, dried pineapple, coriander (very slight, but noticeable), dried orange rind, and persimmon (astringent type) . There is also a generic, unsweetened jelly bean element to it. Given that jelly beans are mostly sugar, that's a bit of a contradiction, but if it's possible > unsweetened jelly bean. :) Finish is astringent & tangy green onion, minus the more sulfury aspects + dried strawberry Moderate bitterness that builds, and becomes sharper towards finish, and lingers awhile.
Feel is light side of medium, initially lightly creamy , followed by sharp, very fine, carbonation tingle. Between that, & the bitterness, the front 20% of my tongue has been pleasantly slapped into numb oblivion.
Overall , though rather odd, I like this. Reading the description before opening, I was expecting that it was a bit of a stretch. It's not. I wish the flavor was closer to the aroma, but it's still quite good. Worth a try.
