Collaboration with Other Half Brewing Co.
Jam Don’t Shake is an outrageously delicious collaboration with our Brooklyn neighbors Other Half. This PB&J-inspired imperial milk stout bursts out of the glass with mammoth flavors of raspberry jam and salty roasted peanuts. At a whopping 17% ABV, the alcohol is incredibly well-hidden within a velvety elixir of oats, caramel malts, and roasted barley.

Pours a dark cola color with a creamy tan head, the nose is almost all berries with some roasty notes in the background and a smidge of peanut.
The taste features the raspberry flavor, which combines nicely with the nutty, salty flavor from the peanut butter, and there’s a little roasty flavor as well - and no booze, which is impossible in a 17% ABV beer, right?
The mouthfeel is full and a bit creamy. This is a big ol’ stout that doesn’t drink anything like a big ol’ stout, but is pretty tasty. Glad I had the opportunity to try it.

I like the high ABV stuff and this was a good (though not at the very top of boozy tries for me). I had this on tap at Tre Monte in Tyngsborough. Like many upper ABV pours, this one had little carbonation. Color, taste & feel were as expected. Most dominating flavor was hints of berry. A nice offering but I enjoyed Grimm's other brew (Chocolate Cherry Icing On The Cake, which I had 1st) much more.

Deep dark brown where no light passes through the edge of the glass. Nearly no head and certainly no lace.
This has a boozy aroma with strong Port overtones. I get fresh blackberry and wild cherry to the nose.
Very rich body and flavor. Again, very much like a Port--strong alcohol with the berry flavors. The carbonation is very low, almost nonexistent. Boozy finish and aftertaste. Overall, I'd label this as a winter aperitif.
