Notes:
Sumi Noir is built up from a heftier base, aged for one year in four Templeton barrels, conditioned on vanilla beans and infused with Colombian coffee roasted by Sey. Sumi Noir pours jet-black with a lingering tan head, and entices with stunning aromas of impeccably roasted coffee, whiskey, vanilla, and oak. On the palate it is full-bodied and delivers waves of layered caramel and toffee, chocolate, booze, roast, and silky vanilla beans.

2021 bottle from the brewery in Brooklyn. Pours black with a finger of mocha head, nice boozy lacing; smell is bourbon, sticky toffee, dark caramel, fudgey chocolate, chocolate cake, smoked dates, dark roast coffee; taste is bourbon, dark chocolate, vanilla, oak, dates, dark caramel/burnt brown sugar, hints of wine blanched plum/pear; feel is full bodied, light carbonation, sweet. A decadent bourbon and chocolate forward delight, with a nice coffee roast to boot. Memories of thick dark hot chocolate in the back alleys of Venice. Yams.
