Notes:
This SUPER TROPICAL triple IPA received a first dry hop of Mosaic, a second dry hop of Citra, and then a colossal 3rd dry hop of Nelson and Strata. The flavors and aromas here are gigantic and tropical tropical tropical — pink guava, passionfruit, pineapple, papaya, and mango are all here in abundance. The body is silky rich, with the perfect sweetness to support that generous fruit character.

Picked up four different beers from Bottlecraft while in Liberty Station. Just kind of saw this one and was interested, probably because it was an anniversary beer. Although I don’t think I’ve ever tried a beer from Grimm Artisanal Ales it felt like they have been around for more than three years. Untappd description was “This SUPER TROPICAL triple IPA received a first dry hop of Mosaic, a second dry hop of Citra, and then a colossal 3rd dry hop of Nelson and Strata. Poured a medium yellow semi-clear color with 2-to-3 fingers of frothy off-white head. Could see some bubbles coming up along the sides of the glass. Perfect foamy layered lacing. World-class retention. (Sight - 4.75)
Smelled mango, guava, pink lemonade, Mosaic, Strata, papaya, floral, Citra, red grapefruit, pineapple, Nelson, viney berry and hints of white grape. Just as nice from the can. (Smell - 4.50)
First thing I noticed on the taste was how smooth it was for 10.3 pct. ABV. Got Strata, Mosaic, guava, pink lemonade, mango, pineapple, Citra, red grapefruit, papaya, floral, Nelson, viney berry, hints of white grape and melon. (Taste - 4.50)
Medium body. Creamy texture. Average carbonation. Long, smooth finish. (Feel - 5.00)
Wow. Just a tremendous West Coast TIPA. Not only did it hide the 10.3 pct. ABV, but the flavors were great. World-class. (Overall - 4.50)

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a generic, conical pint glass; canned on 06/21/21.
A: Pours a somewhat hazy, golden color with a two to three finger, off-white head, one finger retention, and sticky rings of lacing.
S: Malty with aromas of grapefruit, nectarine approaching sweat, caramel, and lychee.
T: More semidry than semisweet. Respect. Follows nose but sweaty. No more than moderate bitterness throughout.
M: Medium bodied with lsolid effervescence.
O: Appreciate the dryness. Triple hopping has a downside. This is it.
