This limited edition Pilsner pays tribute to the origins of the style by featuring two authentic heirloom yeast strains that are independently fermented on a singular wort and blended to demonstrate the harmony between them. Brewed with all Czech-sourced ingredients, North Country water, decocted and boiled adhering to an extended Czech-style schedule, this batch is our homage to the rich tradition of Plzň. Notes of baked bread, exceptionally soft and rounded in flavor and aroma.

Fairly foggy yellow-orange with a moderately tall, white foam head clinging in fine, wavy ridges.
Immediately refreshing, yet featuring lots of corn, but in a pleasant, lightly toasted expression. That introduction instantly shifts to a dry, crisply herbal, bitter finish. This seems formidably bitter for a second, hinting at allium, but then recedes without effort to encourage more thirst.

Bank on Czech pilsner. Very drinkable, the right yeast, significant and correct amount of bitterness. Recent can from somewhere they sell this, and there are fortunately a lot of locations.

Can into Nucleated Pilsner
Look: Poured a deep golden-brown, with a 2 finger frothy head which dissipated slowly into a heavy ring with moderate lacing
Smell: Toasty malt, fresh lemon zest and lots of grassy, herby hops. Some strong yeasty notes in there as well. Medium strength nose
Taste: lightly sweet, toasty malt upfront, with lightly bitter grassy, herby hops and a touch of yeast funk. Light mingling of zest in there. Got a spicy rye whisky ness to it. Lingering malt and some earthy hops
Feel: Medium body, medium carbonation, with a semi crisp finish.
Overall: Good brew. Flavorful, and unique to many other pilsners I've tried, with a touch more hops and yeast funk

I might not be able to tell this apart in a blind test vs the base Palmovka. I love both, and without question this is masterfully crafted lager. So excited to have found fresh cans about 8 days old and am savoring them on individual days cuz it's exquisite sauce.

Ooooh yeah! This Palmovka Special is even better than Schilling's regular Palmovka! And that one set the bar very high for American brewers attempting a Czech Pilsner!
Very rich golden color, with a heap of rich white foam.
The nose immediately tells a story of happy sun-light filled wildflower and grassy fields gently caressed by a delicious summer breeze. That, and a promise of soon to be very happy taste buds.
Taste: a touch maltier than Palmovka or Pilsner Urquell. A very elegant yet assertive rye sourdough profile with a kiss of honey and heaps of noble hops.
Holy Mother of Yeast! This is Wort-thy!!!

Pours a brilliant clear dark golden color, thick white colored head. Good head retention. Aroma of slightly toasted malt and earthy grassy hops. Taste is similar, starts a little sweet but has a nice spicy hop finish. Medium bodied, smooth feel.

Can. White head. Lace. Clear golden color.
Smooth. Crisp, light, easy drinking. Bready malts, toasted crackers. Earthy and grassy hops. Everything works here so well. So flavorful, but so light. This is a complex, crusher.

For the Schilling pilsner beers I’ve sampled, this one tends to have more bready/cracker malt sweetness to blend with the hop crispness. High quality brew as anticipated.
