Can date smudged
Pours a med fizzy frothy 1 finger head with moderate retention, fair soapy lacing, semi clear slight hazy deep golden tan color
Nose brings a spicy saison, lots of potpourri phenol spices, coriander, clove, a touch of fruity esters with citrus and some bubblegum, light doughy creamy wheat and cereal grain, a little honey and hint of vanilla, a bit of an herbaceous hop character
Taste brings malt up front, a little sweet but not much, grainy cereal malt with creamy doughy wheat, some more of that honey as well, light vanilla icing character, lots of phenol spices kick in with more potpourri flavors, and coriander clove like, as well as the esters, fruity citrus, a light orange lemon character, more bubblegum, and a touch of banana even, a mild spicy herbal hop with med-light bitterness, getting a bit more spicy as it goes, dry finish, more phenol spices, spicy hops, and fruity esters, a little yeasty character on the back end
Mouth is med to lighter bod, a little creamy wheat-like, med fizzy carb
Overall interesting saison, a bit too spicy and heavy for my taste, and def more of a winter saison than a summer, but well done within style, only knock is that mild yeasty character on the finish which is normal for a saison but this gets a little too much like dried yeast cake kinda thing, and carbonation is not as effervescent as I expected, but it's still a good saison
