Introducing San Jacinto Especial, our Mexican-Style Golden Lager. Deep gold-colored with a white head, San Jacinto Especial’s aromas and flavors showcase notes of sweet corn, subtle hay and cracker, with a touch of herbal hop character. Light malt sweetness touches the palate, driven by the addition of flaked maize. The finish is dry with just a hint of bitterness.

Pours a gold color with a minimal head that disappears quickly. No discernable aroma. Taste has a nice spicy finish. No hoppy bitterness. Crisp and dry.

Crystal clear, golden body with two fingers of white foam before dying down to a solid head, but leaving tons of lacing behind. Great yeast with lemon zest, corn, and flowers supporting. Taste is more focused on the hops but rustic yeast still stars, lemon, lime zest, and grain in the background. Feel is light and crisp, yeast full in a light way, pretty clean on the palate yet has textures worth noting. A highly drinkable mexican lager while having character to keep you entertained

Fantastic golden body with a dense, creamy, white head; sparkling clear color; incredible slow-rising carbonation bubbles; excellent thick head, long lasting. Alluring aroma of toasted grain with a slight corn quality; noble hop scent, grassy and herbal. Delicate and balanced flavor; deft touch of light grain flavors balanced with a moderate hop bitterness; light earthy herbal tones. Medium body; crisp; quietly soft residual sugar feel.
A very nicely done iteration of a Mexican style lager.

Well, what's left to say about Schilling's lager-crafting skills? Not even sure what beer this is really trying to be a shining example of, but it's better than whatever that is. Another high-quality, extremely tasty and drinkable lager.

Can date smudged
Pours a med larger frothy bubbly 1+ finger head with moderate retention, soapy lacing, very clear med golden tan color
Nose brings a lot of cereal grain, little sweet doughy malt, touch of cracker and corn, straw, hint of herbal hop
Taste brings more of the same, light cereal grain, a bit of cracker, straw, and corn, grainy-sweet doughy malt very pilsner like, light herbal hop, touch of bitterness, dry finish, bit more bitterness
Mouth is med to lighter bod, med to higher frothy carb
Overall much better than any Mexican Golden Lager I've ever had, but in seriousness it's decent beer as expected
