Rhus was developed in collaboration with Almanac Beer Co. to celebrate our friendship, love of the North Country and shared joy of unique mixed-fermentation beers. Prior to resting overnight in our koelschip - in front of windows opened to the Ammonoosuc River - Rhus was loaded with Sumac fruit foraged from riverbanks outside the brewery. A pitch of Almanac's house culture followed in the morning. After months in stainless and an extended bottle conditioning period, we hope that you enjoy this uniquely complex beer as much as we enjoyed brewing it with our friends from the West Coast.
