Our first Bockbier of the season, Brennan is a rich, flavorful foeder-aged smoked lager that beautifully integrates cherry- and beechwood-smoked barley into the grist alongside subtle oak character. Lagered for months in our American oak foeder, Brennan is a harbinger of both North Country autumn chill and the warmth of camaraderie.

Can from Mr Barleywine, thanks for the hookup!
Mostly clear deep auburn with a good sized frothy off white head that persists. Rich bready toasty like caramel maltiness with a pretty solid hit of smoke. The residual sweetness keeps the smoke from overpowering. Faint spice and floral hops to counter as well. Really nice smoked bock beer.
