Brewed with our friends from Cohesion Brewing Co. in Denver, Colorado, this lower-alcohol-by-volume interpretation of a traditional Tmavé Pivo was brewed with specialty malts from their home and ours. This dark ruby red lager has notes of cocoa nibs, lightly toasted walnuts and a touch of caramel. Czech Saaz hops provide a light herbal hop character.

The can date was unreadable and etched on the side of the can. Usually, Schilling can dates are quite visible on the bottom of the can.
Nice pour: dark brown color with a 3F head.
Aroma: a bit weak, nutty, malty.
MF: far too light. Not quite watery, but there is very little body to support the taste.
The taste is not pronounced, nutty and malty.
A fuller flavor comes out at 48°.
Every time I shop at the beer store I buy a lot of Schilling. The recipe needs retweaking for a fuller flavor and more heft in the body.

This one pours a nice dark-ish amber color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This smells like cocoa nibs, toasted malt, caramel, and some nuttiness.
There’s just a ton of flavor here for how little this beer is. It’s a perfectly subtle level of chocolatey sweetness, with a nice toasty and bready malt backbone, and just the lightest hint of general bitterness. There’s not a ton of hop flavor, but it’s there a little bit.
This is light bodied, creamy, and super drinkable.
It’s just brewing magic that so much character can be packed into such a lower ABV beer.

Unfortunately way too low-ABV, thin mouthfeel, and watery for the style. Otherwise tasty flavors.
I would love to see Schilling brew a proper Tmavé Pivo of at least 13° plato.
It's an under-represented style and I bet they could do it better than Notch.
