16oz can poured into a chalice.
A: Dark garnet color with some more brown hues. Great clarity. Tight, finely bubbled beige head has decent retention, but settles into a thin slip after a time. Spotty lacing.
S: Pleasantly toasty aroma. Overly toasted bread crust, hazelnut, toffee, bit of light roast coffee and a kiss of smoke. Hints of stewed plum and dried fig. Green and grassy hops with a bit of an herbal component. Slight minerality.
T: Toasty as in the nose. Hazelnut, toffee, grain and light smoke. Undercurrent of brown molasses and light roast coffee. Plum and fig fruitiness. Quick pop of bright citrus, like orange marmalade, from the yeasty ester. Minerally and brothy. Herbal hops with a modest bitterness; bit of tobacco. Finishes with trailing coffee and toast.
M: Light to medium body. Slight creaminess, mostly dry. Raspy hop tannin, Somewhat aggressive setlzery carbonation bite.
O: Really pleasant drinker all around. Perhaps not as expressive in the yeast dept and quintessentially British in that regard as some, but hey, is it really a bad thing to be a little less British? It's very sessionable and I could put away a good few. Stylistically it is on point. Well made + hedonistic is the recipe for a great and drinkable brew.

Pours a fizzy foamy almost 2 finger off-white head with fair retention, just a bit of lacing, dark semi clear molasses mahogany color
Nose brings a bit of chocolate candy bar but not sweet, biscuity doughy malt with a bit of yeast and bread, cola spice, earthy bootstrap molasses, toast
Taste brings more malt up front, toasted biscuity with a bit of chocolate, mild baking spices and cola spice, fair sweetness with more raw molasses, hint of roast, a little mocha, fair bitterness from some mild earthy spicy hops and some from the roast
Mouth is med bod, soft, med small bubble carb
Overall not bad, the nose seemed a bit weird, but taste was good, easy drinking beer with plenty of character
