Where do we draw inspiration from? For us, it comes from the rhythm of life— food, music and adventure. Somewhere beneath the pines, a breeze carries hints of citrus, sap, and sunshine. This West Coast Pale Ale is our attempt to bottle that feeling. Last brewed in 2018, this refreshed take features Citra, Mosaic, and NZ Cascade—a trio that brings bright citrus, tropical fruit, and a crisp, clean finish. Lean, lively, and full of light—just like the forest air.

From Good Times Oakland, canned July 14th 2025.
Pours a bubbly clear gold with over a finger of foam, retention and lacing are fine.
Smell is strong notes of pine, orange peel, some grass, hint of tropical fruit.
Taste is definitely pale Ale type of hoppiness. Strong pine, some grapefruit, little grass, toasted malt is there. Tropical fruit taste is minimal.
Good low medium body, I would drink this again.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours golden yellow with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Grassy, Southern Hem diesel, resinous pine, citrus zest, mixed berries, light tropical and stone fruit, floral hints, biscuity malt, and a touch of sweetness.
T: Resinous pine, citrus, lemon, grapefruit, and tangerine, Southern Hem diesel, tropical and stone fruit, passion fruit, blueberry, pineapple, apricot, peach, mango, and a hint of red berries, a bit grassy, light floral notes, slightly crackery biscuity malt, and just a touch of honey sweetness.
M: A little on the lighter side of medium body, moderate carbonation, easy drinking.
O: I think the NZ Cascade and Mosaic are the stars of the show here. Wouldn't mind if the Citra presence was a little stronger, but I'd happily take a second pint of this one as it is.

On tap Toronado SD, into a pint
Super refreshing pale from the hop-alchemists at cellarmaker. Lots of juicy citrus notes along with a touch of West Coast piney snap. Lemon-honey malts offset bitter aspects, leading to a drinkable finish with little lingering residuals.

The beer is a relatively light amber color. It has good clarity. Good seems like the wrong descriptor when I have a strong preference for Cellarmaker’s cloudy hoppy beers. Some lacing, white head, etc. The aroma is mild but has some nice tropical fruitiness. Mango, papaya, pineapple, kiwi. There’s a touch of caramel in the mild malt character. The tropical fruit flavors seem a bit delicate to shine in the taste, but it still has good hop flavor. It’s a bit like the aroma but without the sweet complexity. Moderate malt sweetness. Mild bitterness. Finishes fairly dry. Good dose of hop oiliness for the abv. It also drinks a bit bigger than the abv would suggest. Good pale ale but I think it could use a tweak.
