Dark brown, muddy, with a thin head. Funky on the nose, very medicinal. Taste is quite dry, with pronounced bandaid phenols dominating. Medium to medium light body. Dirty is the best overall description. Not meant as an insult, either.
An unusual offering from two well regarded brewers from the finger lakes NY region. Not sure it came together for me, though, even though I like a dirtier saison from time to time.
