A beer for seekers. For the people who jump off cliffs and out of airplanes. When pushing yourself to the limits is when you feel most alive. For these wild ones we've created a bright Saison with a triumphant choir of juicy hop flavors. A choice blend of hop variety's from France, England, and Germany create layers of flavors ranging from wild flowers, lemon zest, and tangerine. The crispy malt character allows for the perfect triforce of flavors to emerge.

L: Pours a hazy golden straw. Huge head - maybe 2 inches of big bubbles. Really a pretty pour.
S: Lots of citrus and brett. Also getting a bit of a tang - like a sharp orange note.
T: A relatively bitter Saison. Not particularly tart or containing significant other flavors. Somewhat bland to my taste.
F: Highly carbonated - you might even confuse this for seltzer. Fairly dry in that regard. Very easy to drink from a mouthfeel perspective.
O: The Look and smell of this one is in line with some of the better saison's I've had, but there is a lot lacking in terms of overall taste and mouthfeel. It honestly reminds me more of seltzer and tonic than a saison! I think this is a good attempt by BBCo, one of my favorite breweries, but needs some refinement. I agree with whoever said that there are better saisons out there to try before this one.

This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a semi-hazy burnt yellow color. Soft carbonation could be seen rising at a decent pace to fill a rapidly dissipating one finger head. No lacing. The smell, well, if anything, it really reminded me of lemon bread (fully combined), you know when your grandma comes over to your house and says "here deary, here’s the lemon bread I made for you and your family." Its not bad, that’s just how it comes across to me. The taste was pretty much the same - that sweet bready to lemon fruity sweetness. On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a big sessionability about it. Could pound the crap out of this if I really wanted to, hmmm...sounds like a fishing boat beer. Overall, light and sessionable, I don’t mind it, its just nothing over the top, would be great just sippin’ straight from the can, not thinkin’ about anything else in the world and just go fishin’.

16 oz. can from 3/31/16. Poured into Teku glass.
L: Pours a clear orange, looks like Orange Crush without the carbonation bubbles. 1F head, decent retention, not much lacing, but cap and ring.
S: Flowery and a bit yeasty, with some citrus notes.
T: Sour lemon up front, flowery taste, malt moderates the sour a bit through the palate. Bit of a lingering perfumey aftertaste which is new to me and not great.
F: Mediumish body, light to medium carbonation which could have been picked up a bit. Construction and balance feel kind of average and could have been sharper.
O: There are better Saisons out there, when it comes down to it.
