Collaboration with Finback Brewery
Kettle sour kvass with yuzu and poppy seeds
Half the batch fermented in red wine barrels and the other half fermented in one of our stainless steel tanks with yuzu juice. Separate they are each delicious, but blended creates something magical. Delicate oak aromas are contrasted by a bright lemon zest acidity. Named after a song by @kinggizzar.

A: Pours a golden yellow color with 2 fingers of head that quickly fades down to nothing
S: Some tartness, sweet bread, and light fruitiness up front. Light citrus and yuzu as well. On the lighter side overall
T: Follows the nose but much more bold. Starts off with a light tartness that is balanced by the sweet bread and citrus. Tartness continues throughout. Finishes with lingering citrus and (finally) some of the poppy seed
M: Light-medium bodied with low-moderate carbonation
O: Definitely an out-of-the-box brew that really puts a nice spin on kvass. Still holds the sweetness nicely while complimenting with tartness and citrus. Really nice
