Opted for a tulip due to the ABV, the appearance was a beautiful ruddy purple color with a stifled finger's worth of white foamy head. Some lace here and there.
The aroma seemed to have a blend of red raspberry to soft hints of some black raspberries further underneath. Some saltiness. Light lemon tart/sour character even further underneath.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet to a semi-tart and crisp sour raspberry jammy character. Pure blissfully awesome aftertaste, thicker than any true gose could ever be with red raspberry jam.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a good sessionability about it. Some salty grip but nothing bothersome. Good carbonation. Finishes with a mellow tart/sour raspberry jam.
Overall, hopefully this doesn't get changed to "Leipzig Gose" on here as this is more of a fruit beer with some salt and no sour-ed wheat despite the brewer saying this is an imperial gose. I have to admit it came out extremely well as is. One I would love to come back to preferably for me perhaps in warmer weather.
