This is a very nicely made amber lager by a prominent Vermont brewery mostly known for their IPAs. Thankfully, they are also brewing more traditional lagers. This is one of them.

Pours a rich yet elegant gold color. The aroma is very rye malt forward. The taste is delightfully elegantly ryeish without being overdone.

Solid. Worthy.

This has a nice crispness for a lager and finishes clean, but the taste itself is a little nondescript. The malt is a little sweeter than some lagers but not much rye for me.

Sampling at the brewery. Pours a pale straw color with a small head. Some smell of rice. Tastes like a typical lager. No hint of the rye. No real aftertaste.
