Appearance: Arrives with a cloudy juiced lemon color capped by a modest head that leaves some dots of foam
Smell: Lemony yogurt, rye bread and leather
Taste: Lemony yogurt, up front, with spicy rye bread and leathery tones developing in the middle; vegetal flavors which the brewery describes as wood sorrel (I have had sorrel before but not wood sorrel and it does taste like sorrel) linger in the finish
Mouthfeel: Light bodied with moderate carbonation; causes some puckering from the tartness
Overall: Not content to brew simply a Berliner Weiss, Fonta Flora has brewed a Berliner Roggen with Berliner Weiss characteristics; another stylebender from this very creative brewery
