Lovely pinkish orange body, not much of a head. My lily funky aroma: wheat, strawberries, earthy smells. Tart & tasty. Flavors: funk, strawberries, peach, wheat, maybe just a hint of rye. Very nice feel, proper amount of carbonation. Overall: delicious.

Batch 9. Not sure if this was a suboptimal batch or what, but aside from the rather lovely strawberry jam aromas this beer is a miss for me. It's just so acetic and one dimensional. Almost still too, which I don't think was intended... American breweries just have such a difficult time with spontaneous beers

Purchased this beer while in Asheville during Christmas.
Poured into a teku glass. Pretty pink color, like pink lemonade. No head or lacing. Wonderful strawberry smell and taste. Some lemon and pink pepper. Nice and tart. A bit flat feel, but a really flavorful beer.

Batch 9, bottled August 2023
The Madeira barrel aged version of Rhythm Rug still stands as my favorite Fonta Flora beer. It’s hard to get strawberries to really stand up in a beer but that one pulled it off nicely and I have to imagine this one will as well. Let’s pop it open and find out
Pours an opaque reddish orange with just a thin ring of bubbles that quickly fades to nothing. Quite odd as the Madeira variant wasn’t still like this
The nose is extremely vibrant and tart. I’m picking up on aromas of lemon juice, juicy strawberry, tart raspberry, stone, red wine vinegar, wildflower honey, crackery malt, black cherry, and light crabapple
It doesn’t have quite the same punch in taste but it’s still damn good. On the front end of the sip I’m tasting jammy strawberry, lemon zest, sweet honey, tart strawberry, bready malt, vanilla yogurt, and light black cherry. The swallow brings notes of lemon juice, juicy strawberry, apple skin, tart raspberry, black cherry, crackery malt, and stone
A medium body pairs with gentle carbonation, resulting in a slick beer. Finishes truly neutral
I dig this one but the lack of carbonation holds it back a bit. Oh well, I still enjoyed it

030620 2019 Vintage from Morganton. Bright strawberries and a nice tart pucker. Fairly dry making it go down a little quicker. Being mindful of this, take your time and let it warm a bit for a remarkable nose.
