750ml bottle poured into a snifter
2018 vintage
A- pours deep black in color with a one-finger creamy khaki head that has good retention
S- smoked barley gives a peat-like aroma up front, followed by caramel & chocolate. Undertones of oak, whiskey, cinnamon, vanilla & raisin bread
T- smoked malt up front gives notes of campfire, followed by notes of chocolate and cinnamon. Mid-palate gives some oak and whiskey, along with raisins. The finish adds light notes of vanilla with a nutty and cinnamon linger
M- medium body with moderate carbonation, slightly foamy mouthfeel and finish
O- the addition of the 'carrot cake' ingredients compliments the base beer well, cinnamon and raisin seem to stand out the most

8/23/18 3.7/5 This one takes some time to open up and carbonation is quite disruptive. Flavors are there, but ... perhaps this could be better fresher. Thanks Kevin L.
